Pipi Lane Premium Timothy Hay
Pipi Lane Timothy Hay is a high-fibre, easily digestible hay with a sweet aroma and taste that encourages natural foraging in herbivores. Its lower calcium content makes it a healthy choice for long-term feeding, while its fibrous texture is excellent for promoting dental health by naturally grinding down teeth. We were so lucky for all those years to have the One Stop Bunny shops compressed Timothy hay, the quality of their hay was fantastic and the strands were long and the yield was so good. The have been the best to us and I will always appreciate the sacrifices they made to deliver us the best. 5 stars always for them!
This is a complaint to Pipi lane directly:
Now with Pipi Lane, things have gotten so much worse. The hay is diced up so it feels more like chaff, the bunnies enjoy it less and the chances of getting a long stalk is a pin in the haystack. The waste is so much higher. The dust is worse, I always shake it in small hand batches before taking it inside in a basket and with a 5 kg box I've lost 1kg in dust/small stuff suff the buns wouldn't touch (that just stays on the paddock) . Now when I empty the litter tray daily there's so much more waste with the chaff like stalks the bunnies don't like as much. If I could give an accurate percentage I'm noticing about 70% waste including final product compared to 20- 30% with the old supply of compressed Timothy hay the One Stop Bunny Shop supplied. The thing that blows my mind too is that I was able to to fit the whole entire Pipi Lane 5kg box (minus the dust/small bit weight) into a 40 Liter plastic storage container. This is crazy as I use to struggle to put more than a kilo (2-3 compressed slabs) of compressed One Stop Bunny Shop hay into this same box. So a 12kg box would last me a good 2 months and this Pipi lane box was filtered on the 26th August and I'm halfway through it on the 31st August. This is just unbelievable for all us bunny owners to be going through an already high consuming product and to end up paying for more waste than actual product. I have also gone through ×4 Pipi lane hay boxes and have had the same results, extremely wasteful and dissatisfied. This isn't a one off box this is just what Pipi Lane are selling to all of us. I do need to clarify that my bunnies are fussy and may not apply to everyone but I have discovered that it is more affordable now to purchase top flight Timothy hay 1.5kg as that is $20-30 and compressed out to 40 liters and lasts longer for me than 5kg of Pipi lane.
Kind regards,
John
Good quality hay, my 7 guinea pigs are enjoying it and thriving off of it. The only thing I'd like to have in the future is a singular box for large quantity orders eg 10kg, 12kg, 15kg etc for those that buy in bulk 🥰
We love this hay! We used to love the big bales of hay Bunny Shop is now unable to restock, and we don't really like Topflite brand.
There's lots in a box, it is dried well, smells good and isn't dusty. There is very minimal chaff, and it's mostly large pieces of hay. Yummy!

Our bunny loves Pipi Lane! The box was full of lovely long crunchy bits which are her absolute favourite!
Arrived very promptly, well packed, in good condition. The hay all looks perfect to me. My fussy rabbit, however, seems to think that most of it is too short - she carefully selects out the longest pieces and leaves the vast majority behind.
Big box less hay I think! Preferred one stop bunny shop’s smaller boxes with more compressed hay.
